The adventure continues....

Gosh - just realised that life was going so smoooooth and we haven't published a blog for a while, so just a quick update....
The Grand Canyon was just the most beautiful place ever! Richard and I made a huge promise to ourselves: a hike, without the add-ons (as one broke his toe, and the other one, didn't have much more that could get tired, painful or about to fall off...) So as we were revving ourselves up, early night and all, what would happen... a huge gout attack (about time something attacks him) but this was bad and WHY would you ask?? a lack of WATER, anycase that was a sore lesson, but at least Albert's packet of pills sorted him out; but also put our hike over to the next day. So here we go, the Pople-pain-packet-x-3, Keean-toe, Tamryn-mental, Dad-goutknee and mommy jumping around the RV with her dusterrrrr (any-one still happy to come on this ride??)

Any case, we did made the hike, and it was one of those routes, it's either down or up! but the beauty was unbeatable! every year they lose about 250 hikers on this route - great place to get rid of your hubcap, but as he still had to be useful, I decided to give him some more time on the planet, and the way he was heavy breathing behind me made me realise he might just do it himself. He was off to a bad start in anycase, as he tried to fit into clothes that shrunk 4 sizes(overnight). My washing!

We had to leave this beauty behind and head for Vegas, and I can promise you faithfully, its not even worth the trip, unless you can steel a chip from, you-know-who, and make a $1000, there's nothing to lure you back, it was windy, ugly and hot. Apart from seeing an amazing acrobatic dancing show which we will never forget!

So, after another laundry distaster, we were heading for (little did we know, more..)
the excitement was great, we were going to see Matthew (Richard's son, who is a teacher in LA)
and how did we celebrate? with Mc Donald's (sniksnik) in Malibu, and the reason for this little mishap, for the first time, the RV-camp we had in mind was full........
but the next day we went right back and found this most beautiful place on the beach!!We thought our selves the luckiest lot! RV on the beach, BUT, the small print YOU ARE IN BETWEEN THE (BUSIEST)AIRPORT AND THE (BIGGEST) SEWAGE PLOT IN LA! HAVE A HAPPY, SMELLY, NOISY STAY!!

"We will survive" is fast becoming the Pople motto.....

there's was just one more thing I wanted to do (and nooo-one was going to get in my way)
I was going to cook a roast for my step-son in the RV! That's the long story, the short one, is I never stuffed a chicken with so many veggies, realised too late that my space for 4 pots of veggies, and roast potatoes and the bird was Very limited, no-one said anything , bless their souls.

I am off now, going through a brand new stage of RV cooking and finding a maid, that comes with her own RV..........
