Here we visited the great Canyon the Colca, twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. The altitude was also sorting us out by this stage, Richard and Tamryn went back to their birthweight, and we are chewing coco leaves by the kg! green teeth is better than headaches, sad tums and nausea!
We went as high as 4200 meters, to see the Condor with a wingspan of 3 meters! The people are so colorful and humble, I couldn’t stop taking photographs. Also much to our surprise, we discovered a Rambo mini me in Keean. He was followed by a group of screaming schoolgirls every where we went. (You have nooo idea how it feels to be the parents of a little celebrity??). The hot springs pool could not be missed.
The little, poor villages we passed through kept us humble and in awe. Back from our 36 hour visit, 2 more days were well spent in Arequipa, although we nearly lost Richard. I bought some energy drinks? After he had a dizzy attack we realized that our energy drinks contained 10% alcohol!! Did I get the blame AGAIN!
