We stayed a few blocks from Times Square and had to go to the infamous Hard Rock Cafe for a midnight feast. Time means nothing here. Energy is pumping 24 hours a day. The biggest problem was keeping my eyes open in the Mary Poppins musical we went to see..... And, of course, keeping Mel and the kids on a short leash with all those shops around was exhausting. Mel is developing some strange new habits. We went to a NY pub and she drank three pints of Pumpkin Beer! Even the hillbilly couple next to us were impressed. Since then, I haven't managed to wean her off the good ale.
